چکیده

Third-degree burn wounds can cause devastating loss of functionality for patients. As such, platform technologies that allow effective wound management are needed. The purpose this study is to describe the use MatriStem™ urinary bladder matrix (UBM)-based products (MicroMatrix® + Cytal®) (MM+C) and a collagen glycosaminoglycan (GAG) product (Integra® Dermal Regeneration Template (DRT)) (DRT) in porcine third-degree model. Full-thickness burns were created on dorsal skin, debrided using an excisional model, then treated with MM+C or DRT. Importantly, treatment either DRT, resulted extracellular composition cellular organization similar healthy skin. promoted rapid closure neo-epithelialization, while DRT seemed superior promoting pro-regenerative dermal bed. Histological analysis demonstrated complete epidermal at various levels maturation presented mature, thick, organized bundles all wounds. appeared have more histological resemblance native tissue compared untreated control. faster epithelialization Multi-factor healing both had favorable based metrics contraction, epithelialization, rate. Taken together, closure. synergistic benefits (promoting bed) neo-epithelialization) could be explored combination device facilitate full-thickness

Enhancement Effect of Trypsin on Permeation of Clindamycin Phosphate Through Third-degree Burn Eschar

Antimicrobial therapy remains to be the most important method of wound infection treatment. Systemically administered antimicrobials may not achieve therapeutic level in wound. On the other hand, in the absence of surgical debridement (due to any reason), most topically applied antimicrobials cannot penetrate the wound in therapeutic amount due to the presence of eschar. Burn eschar is a protei...
